Sweet love
Love So Sweet
by Jessica Kae Teal
You woke me from my sleep
and drenched my heart with a love so deep.
When I look into your eyes
I see my reflection,
my feelings for you I do not despise.
You treat me like the princess I should be
by pouring your sweet and sensual love all over me.
When I see you bitting your lip and anxiously trying to kiss me,
I debate in my mind whether or not I should let you taste me.
You stand there all quiet with your sexy body,
and I think in my mind, "Oh, my gosh, what a hottie."
When I hear you speak, all your beautiful voice does
is make me weak.
I love you for this and
I love you for that,
but you love me for everything and that.

Aeglie’s Adventure in the Wonder Word World: Solstice, by Louise Gluck
γιατί να κοιτάζουμε μπρος ή πίσω;

WWF - Do You Know?
"Sargassum" is one of the more interesting ecosystem types in the Gulf of Mexico. What is it?Kemp's ridley turtle (Lepidochelys kempii)
© Carlos Drews/WWF-CanonThe answer is:
b. mats of free-floating seaweed(Scroll to the bottom of this page to see how your answer compared to others.)
One of the more interesting ecosystem types in the Gulf of Mexico are the mats of free-floating macro algae called sargassum. These floating islands of seaweed that give the Sargasso Sea its name are temporary homes to many economically and ecologically important species. Larval and juvenile yellowfin tuna, wahoo and marlin are suspended in the sargassum--as are juvenile sea turtles like the critically endangered Kemp's ridley.
Today, these living islands are threatened by the oil spill from the damaged BP wellhead. Now at the whim of currents, these sargassum will be destroyed as they pass through the toxic surface oil. And they aren't the only ecosystems at risk. More ecological impacts.
Oil also leads to lethal or chronic impacts on marine wildlife. Seabirds and shorebirds such as egrets, herons and brown pelicans lose buoyancy and the ability to keep warm when their feathers come into contact with oil. They can also suffer liver damage, lesions and other potentially lethal complications from ingesting oil as they feed or attempt to clean their feathers. Blue whales, bottlenose dolphins and other marine mammals inhale toxic fumes every time they surface through the slick to breathe. An estimated 400 to 600 species are potentially at risk as the oil washes ashore, works its way into the marshes and oozes into the estuaries of the Louisiana coastline. These numbers may grow as new threats are uncovered. Species impacts.
Here's how your answer compared to others:
53 106 65 44 a. freshwater marshes b. mats of free-floating seaweed c. saltwater marshes d. vast oyster "reefs"

Old posters in disused passageway at Notting Hill Gate tube station, London, 2010
Old posters in disused passageway at Notting Hill Gate tube station, London, 2010, originally uploaded by mikeyashworth.
Work at the station has recently uncovered these amazing advertising posters in non-public areas and that date from c1956 - 1959 when the station's lifts were removed and replaced by escalators. These are in an old lift passageway.
Here a variety of posters can be seen - some are London Transport's own posters such as the 'elephant' by Victor Galbraith - but others include the Royal Blue sailor by Daphne Paddern.
We will be leaving these intact - and please do not pester the station staff as the posters are wholly inaccessible - which is why they've probably survived 50 odd years!
The photos were taken officially - please do credit London Underground in any links.

Imagine
Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace
You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world
You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

Moonrise
beam back some color ..... SETI project
SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) is a scientific area whose goal is to detect intelligent life outside Earth. One approach, known as radio SETI, uses radio telescopes to listen for narrow-bandwidth radio signals from space. Such signals are not known to occur naturally, so a detection would provide evidence of extraterrestrial technology.
Radio telescope signals consist primarily of noise (from celestial sources and the receiver's electronics) and man-made signals such as TV stations, radar, and satellites. Modern radio SETI projects analyze the data digitally. More computing power enables searches to cover greater frequency ranges with more sensitivity. Radio SETI, therefore, has an insatiable appetite for computing power.
Previous radio SETI projects have used special-purpose supercomputers, located at the telescope, to do the bulk of the data analysis. In 1995, David Gedye proposed doing radio SETI using a virtual supercomputer composed of large numbers of Internet-connected computers, and he organized the SETI@home project to explore this idea. SETI@home was originally launched in May 1999.

Play Your Cards Right
Do you really think I’m stupid, because I know for a fact there is no such person as cupid.
You kick it with me and tell me how I am mature and how my love is pure.
You say I would a make a girls dreams come true, that I’m that guy who can see things all the way through.
How can you tell me all these things and then not even bother to see me for yourself? Instead you find someone else and leave me to rott on the shelf.
Are you just looking into my eyes and feeding me lies?
Seening you look at them other guys, makes me feel like apart of me dies.
I thought I was your perfect match but I guess not, I guess you can say I’m just a blind spot.
But you know what I’ve learned to keep my head up high and look beyond the skies.
If you can’t see me for who I am that’s fine, I’m gonna find that special someone along the line who will show me the sign that she was meant for me, We will forever be on cloud nine.
Along the while you see me with her thinking why I chose her?
Then you’ll remember that big blur. And just as you look back a sudden realization will occur.
That should have been you, but you chose to differ.
Your dealing with a improper faction that has no common denominator except resentment.
Love aint a fair game; you win some and lose some, The only difference is how big the jackpot was and how well you played the cards you were dealt.
Sorry but you only have yourself to blame.
Mikey Estrada
Eagle (Lovely Lighting)
He clasps the crag with crooked hands;
Close to the sun in lonely lands,
Ring’d with the azure world, he stands.
The wrinkled sea beneath him crawls;
He watches from his mountain walls,
And like a thunderbolt he falls.
Alfred, Lord Tennyson

Dream.......
Love's Young Dream
by Thomas Moore
Oh! the days are gone, when Beauty bright
My heart's chain wove;
When my dream of life, from morn till night,
Was love, still love.
New hope may bloom,
And days may come,
Of milder calmer beam,
But there's nothing half so sweet in life
As love's young dream:
No, there's nothing half so sweet in life
As love's young dream.
Though the bard to purer fame may soar,
When wild youth's past;
Though he win the wise, who frown'd before,
To smile at last;
He'll never meet
A joy so sweet,
In all his noon of fame,
As when first he sung to woman's ear
His soul-felt flame,
And, at every close, she blush'd to hear
The one loved name.
No, -- that hallow'd form is ne'er forgot
Which first love traced;
Still it lingering haunts the greenest spot
On memory's waste.
'Twas odour fled
As soon as shed;
'Twas morning's winged dream;
'Twas a light, tht ne'er can shine again
On life's dull stream:
Oh! 'twas light that n'er can shine again
On life's dull stream
