The Brains of Storytellers And Their Listeners Actually Sync Up

That’s the conclusion of a study in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences this week. After conducting brain scans of a woman telling a story off the cuff and then of 11 people listening to a recording of her, researchers Greg Stephens and Uri Hasson say they found that the same parts of the brains showed activation at the same time, suggesting a deep connection between talker and listener.
Graduate student Lauren Silbert was the team’s storytelling guinea pig. She recounted tales of high school, like deciding whom to take to prom, while undergoing an fMRI scan.
The study certainly comes with caveats: Its sample size is small, and scientists don’t know exactly what causes the synchronization, nor the exact function of the brain regions in question to any more specificity than “language.” But Stephens and Hasson argue that their findings speak to conceptual common ground people must meet to make conversation possible:

Play Your Cards Right
Do you really think I’m stupid, because I know for a fact there is no such person as cupid.
You kick it with me and tell me how I am mature and how my love is pure.
You say I would a make a girls dreams come true, that I’m that guy who can see things all the way through.
How can you tell me all these things and then not even bother to see me for yourself? Instead you find someone else and leave me to rott on the shelf.
Are you just looking into my eyes and feeding me lies?
Seening you look at them other guys, makes me feel like apart of me dies.
I thought I was your perfect match but I guess not, I guess you can say I’m just a blind spot.
But you know what I’ve learned to keep my head up high and look beyond the skies.
If you can’t see me for who I am that’s fine, I’m gonna find that special someone along the line who will show me the sign that she was meant for me, We will forever be on cloud nine.
Along the while you see me with her thinking why I chose her?
Then you’ll remember that big blur. And just as you look back a sudden realization will occur.
That should have been you, but you chose to differ.
Your dealing with a improper faction that has no common denominator except resentment.
Love aint a fair game; you win some and lose some, The only difference is how big the jackpot was and how well you played the cards you were dealt.
Sorry but you only have yourself to blame.

Eagle (Lovely Lighting)
He clasps the crag with crooked hands;
Close to the sun in lonely lands,
Ring’d with the azure world, he stands.
The wrinkled sea beneath him crawls;
He watches from his mountain walls,
And like a thunderbolt he falls.

Dream.......
Love's Young Dream
by Thomas Moore
Oh! the days are gone, when Beauty bright
My heart's chain wove;
When my dream of life, from morn till night,
Was love, still love.
New hope may bloom,
And days may come,
Of milder calmer beam,
But there's nothing half so sweet in life
As love's young dream:
No, there's nothing half so sweet in life
As love's young dream.
Though the bard to purer fame may soar,
When wild youth's past;
Though he win the wise, who frown'd before,
To smile at last;
He'll never meet
A joy so sweet,
In all his noon of fame,
As when first he sung to woman's ear
His soul-felt flame,
And, at every close, she blush'd to hear
The one loved name.
No, -- that hallow'd form is ne'er forgot
Which first love traced;
Still it lingering haunts the greenest spot
On memory's waste.
'Twas odour fled
As soon as shed;
'Twas morning's winged dream;
'Twas a light, tht ne'er can shine again
On life's dull stream:
Oh! 'twas light that n'er can shine again
On life's dull stream

Neptunes & Jupiters dance
An Olympian God like no other
God of the sea, guards ocean portal
Cronus his father, Rhea his mother
He can never age and is immortal
Cronus sent all his offspring to Hades
Always in fear he would be overthown
Rhea sent Neptune to Rhodes by the sea
Hidden from his father, his fate unknown
Gods taught Neptune his mystical power
This God of Atlantis would rule the sea
Gigantic in stature he would tower
Helped by Zeus, set his sibblings free
Clash with the Titans lasted ten years
Zeus, Neptune victorious they became
Protector of fishermen, he appears
Poseidon was to be his other name
His magical powers made oceans swell
Fires powerful bolts from each hand.
Can be invisible so no one can tell
Transport himself in dimensions overland
Made by the cyclopes, a trident to hold
Water pressure raised with white caps
It helps him make tidal waves to behold.
Make fog and storms, move ships in a snap
Healer of humans and amphipious
Tranform beings into other shapes
This powerful God from Mount Olympus
Turned stallion to seahorse on the cape

Hey You
Hey You (Floyd / Waters)
Hey you, out there in the cold
Getting lonely, getting old
Can you feel me?
Hey you, standing in the aisles
With itchy feet and fading smiles
Can you feel me?
Hey you, dont help them to bury the light
Don't give in without a fight.
Hey you, out there on your own
Sitting naked by the phone
Would you touch me?
Hey you, with you ear against the wall
Waiting for someone to call out
Would you touch me?
Hey you, would you help me to carry the stone?
Open your heart, I'm coming home.
But it was only fantasy.
The wall was too high,
As you can see.
No matter how he tried,
He could not break free.
And the worms ate into his brain.
Hey you, standing in the road
always doing what you're told,
Can you help me?
Hey you, out there beyond the wall,
Breaking bottles in the hall,
Can you help me?
Hey you, don't tell me there's no hope at all
Together we stand, divided we fall.
"We both step and do not step in the same rivers. We are and are not."
Heraclitus the Riddler

i wanted you to know
that i love the way you laugh
i wanna hold you high
steal your pain
...away.
I keep your photograph
and i know it serves me well
i wanna hold you high
and steal your pain
Chorus 1:
cuz i'm broken
when i'm lonesome
and i don't feel right,
when you're gone away
Bridge:
you've gone away
you don't feel me
anymore
Amy:
the worst is over now,
and we can breathe again
i want to hold you high
and steal your pain
There's so much left to learn
and no one left to fight
i want to hold you high
and steal your pain
Chorus 2:
cuz i'm broken
when i'm open
and i don't feel like
i'm strong enough
Cuz i'm broken
when i'm lonesome
and i don't feel right
when you're gone away
enjoy it

one of the reasons that i love spring
Some seeds I'm going to sow.
Here is my rake to rake the ground,
Here is my handy hoe
Here is the big, round yellow sun;
The sun warms everything.
Here are the rain clouds in the sky;
The birds will start to sing.
Little plants will wake up soon,
And lift their sleepy heads;
Little plants will grow and grow
In their little, warm earth beds.
